Vari Pontoons has wide ranging experience in designing and installing Floating Pump stations from small domestic installations through to horizontal and vertical multistage stainless steel pump systems. Our floating pump stations are geared for high performance and long operating life cycles.

Floating Pump stations can be as small as a single pump for a small wash-down area on a farm through to a combined filtration and pumping system designed for controlling an entire municipal’s water supply. Pump Stations can also be designed for dewatering from quarry, dam, river, sea etc.

Submersible Pumps

Submersible pumps offer advanced water supply solutions for residential, municipal, irrigation and industrial applications. Vari Pontoons has designed numerous submersible floating pumping systems using the best name brand pumps for reliable use. Submersible bore pumps come in 4” to 24” outlet diameters and are manufactured from materials resistant to corrosion and abrasion. Designs for submersible pumps focus on standard speed operation for long life, handling of low yielding or sandy well conditions, are easy starting. Submersible pumps can handle volumes from 25 litres per minute up to 3000 litres per min depending on the application.

Centrifugal Pumps

Centrifugal Pumps use impellers to increase the pressure and move fluid. Vari Pontoons provide a wide variety of centrifugal pumps from all the major suppliers and can advise on specifying the correct pump to deliver the required output. Pumps can be electric driven or driven by petrol or diesel engines. Centrifugal pumps can be multi staged and have more than one impeller which has the advantage of being able to deliver a higher head pressure and greater discharge rates to suit a wide range of requirements.

Engine Drive Pumps

Vari Pontoons provide a full range of engine drive firefighting pumps including hose kits, nozzles and camlock fittings. Engine Drive pumps are used where electric power is not available. The pump is connected to an engine that runs on a 2 stroke, diesel or unleaded fuel motor. These pumps are self priming which means that they will suck water through the inlet automatically once started.
